There is a glass dispenser on every table. Just a quick note, we of course serve pancake syrup. Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant restaurant, and we appreciate your patronage. Perhaps you'll get better service at the Kitty Hawk spot - it looks like people are reviewing for both here. They said they are all independently owned/operated. Another note - the menu listed on tripadvisor for this restaurant is not correct - I tried to order an Obx special and my husband tried another item on the menu here, and they did not offer them at Kill Devil Hills location. I'm pretty sure most people are reviewing the location in Kitty Hawk with the cream colored horse out front - that's just my conclusion. We chose this place from so many others - based on great reviews- because, as he said, its a cut-throat industry. This left me focused on the success of his business, and how he could've handled it better, not my food. You understand what I'm saying right?" All I could do was agree and nod - clearly he is not a customer focused owner/manager. "Its a 'cut-throat' industry, and I need to watch every penny, and if I start giving things away for free, it will hurt my bottom line and I can't stay competitive. He cut me off then - he told me I need to consider his point of view. He then said "What's that look for?", so, with that, I let him know that i thought it was strange that they made a mistake (it was busy, so i can understand) but, I thought for a $1.50 (extra for 2 tbs of choc/pb chips) it was strange that they couldnt j'ust make them and bring them out - it wasn't my mistake. We both said good, but looked at each other, wondering if we should explain the mix-up. When my correct pancakes showed up, as we ate, the owner came over and asked how our food was. Also they did not provide pancake syrup? It's a pancake house. The waitress came back, and asked if I'd pay the difference, which I agreed to do (i checked the receipt - they had indeed not put my order in correctly - as I said, the cashier recommended it, soooo, not sure how that happened). This is the part where things went south. When our food arrived, they missed the choc/pb chips in my pancakes and I let them know. I ordered pancakes with choc/pb chips, as recommended by the cashier. The servers and cashier were very nice and service was quick. I liked the selection of food here, and the fresh fruit. The service was pretty quick, and the food was sub-par. ![]() The restaurant serves food cafeteria style: you grab a tray, stand in line, review the menu on the wall, choose sides and drinks as you like, place your order/pay, find a table and wait for your food to be served.
